Jungle Beach

tucked away from the main coastal highway, accessible via a narrow, winding road that passes

the Japanese Peace Pagoda, followed by a short hike down a steep, shaded forest trail.

Emerging from the dense jungle canopy reveals a small, pristine cove of fine golden sand,

completely framed by overhanging wild trees and tropical vines that dip down toward the

water's edge. Because the bay is deeply sheltered by the Rumassala headland, the water here is

exceptionally calm, clear, and turquoise, resembling a natural swimming pool.

Jungle Beach is highly regarded by snorkelers. Just a short swim from the sandy shore lies a

vibrant coral reef teeming with marine life, where lucky swimmers can spot colorful parrotfish,

angelfish, sea anemones, and even green sea turtles feeding in the shallows. A rustic beach

shack built from bamboo and palm leaves sits under the shade of the trees, serving fresh

coconut water, cold drinks, and simple local seafood dishes, allowing travelers to spend a

relaxing day completely immersed in nature.
